The Vanier Petanque Club is a volunteer-run community club based in Vanier, a vibrant neighborhood in Ottawa, Canada. We welcome players of all skill levels—whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced player looking to join a friendly, social group.
Where do we play?
Our brand-new terrain is located at 300 des Pères Blancs Ave, right beside the Sugar Shack in Richelieu Park.
The park provides adequate free parking and is serviced by the OC Transpo route 20 bus.
We have floodlights, but unfortunately no bathrooms.
When do we play?
Our season is the warmer months, roughly May to October. We play twice a week during the season, starting at 7PM.
Tuesday nights is purely recreational, new players are always welcome. Friday nights are a little more competitive, there is no qualification required to play, but we would recommend that new players start on a Tuesday night.
